1. What BriefCast does

BriefCast is an AI-powered service that generates audio briefings from podcast episodes you subscribe to. We fetch publicly available podcast RSS feeds, transcribe episode audio, produce text summaries using AI, and convert those summaries back to audio. The result is delivered to you as a private RSS feed you can add to any podcast app.

2. Your account

You sign in using a magic link sent to your email address. No password is stored. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. You may not share your private feed URL or use BriefCast to redistribute summaries to others.

3. Acceptable use

BriefCast is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use the service to:

• Reproduce or redistribute AI-generated summaries at scale
• Circumvent creator opt-out requests
• Access or attempt to access other users' private feeds
• Submit podcast feeds you do not have legitimate access to

4. Podcast content and copyright

BriefCast processes publicly available podcast content solely to generate personal briefings for subscribers. Summaries are transformative, condensed paraphrases — not transcripts or reproductions of original audio. Podcast creators may request removal of their content from our processing pipeline at any time via our creator opt-out page. We honor all opt-out requests within 24 hours.

5. AI-generated content

Summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. BriefCast does not guarantee that summaries faithfully represent the original episode. Do not rely on BriefCast summaries for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

6. Service availability

BriefCast is provided as-is during beta. We make no uptime guarantees and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Free accounts are subject to usage limits. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@briefcast.gydd.com.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BriefCast is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
